Hi I’m Emma, I have been a freelance educator in digital marketing for three years, helping individuals, organisations and charities refine their digital strategies. I have also been teaching content creation, guiding students in creating engaging content. I have been collaborating with qualification providers such as The Chartered Institute of Marketing to support students in attaining their higher education qualifications. Beyond digital marketing, I like to channel my creativity into embroidery and DIY projects. My embroidery designs have been featured in an American feminist magazine, and my self-taught interior design skills have been showcased in various newspapers and magazines. Every summer, I love to volunteer at independent music festivals, driven by my admiration for music and culture. I am passionate about combining creativity with digital marketing and bringing this enthusiasm into my teaching.
A typical day involves a mix of lesson planning, assessing work and one-to-one sessions that blend hands-on activities with theory. I love creating dynamic training materials that connect directly to apprentices’ real-world challenges. Engaging with learners and seeing their confidence grow is always the highlight of my day 😊
I wanted a change in direction and joined Kiwi in August 2021. I was drawn to the company’s approach to apprenticeships and the commitment to combining education with real-world skills. It felt like the perfect place to combine my passion for teaching and creativity.
My proudest moments are seeing learners grow in confidence, succeed in their projects, and achieve their goals. It’s incredibly rewarding to watch them take what they’ve learned, apply it in real-world situations, and even secure permanent roles. Seeing their progress and success reminds me why hands-on learning is so important.
Everyone at Kiwi &Yuzu is focused on making learning meaningful and impactful. I also value how the company empowers trainers to bring their own unique style and expertise to the table. Another thing I think that we do really well is bespoke the training to the individual, we understand that not all learning styles are the same and we are very flexible with adapting to the learner’s needs.
I’m really excited about growing what we offer and bringing new technology into our training. With the digital world changing so quickly, it’s great to help apprentices build skills that will stand the test of time and see how their work makes an impact in different industries.
My approach is centred on engaging, activity-led learning. I believe in creating a safe space where apprentices feel empowered to experiment, make mistakes, and grow. I also integrate real-world projects to ensure the skills they’re learning are relevant and applicable.
Apprenticeships are a brilliant way to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and workplace skills. They help individuals hit the ground running and give organisations a chance to grow talent that fits their needs. Combining learning with real-world experience is key to staying adaptable and creative.

If I could grab a coffee with anyone from history, it would be Ada Lovelace. She was the first computer programmer and had this amazing vision for what technology could do way ahead of her time. I’d love to hear how she came up with her ideas, how she stayed creative, and how she tackled working in a field full of men. And Elvis.
