JM

Hi, I’m Jen. I joined the Kiwi Education team in January 2024, and I’m thrilled about the journey ahead. I’m based in Cornwall, and I bring over 15 years of experience in the Retail and Hospitality industry. My background includes roles such as Store Manager, Operations Assistant, and a member of the Learning and Development team.

I’m passionate about personal and professional growth, I strive to excel in my role and help my learners do the same. I love coaching my learners to reach their full potential and surpass their goals. My approach to teaching is centred around creating an engaging and supportive environment where learners feel valued and respected.

I first connected with Kiwi & Yuzu through an apprenticeship I was completing with my previous employer. After being made redundant, Kiwi & Yuzu reached out to offer me a position as a trainer. I was excited to join the team and contribute to its mission.

One of my greatest achievements at Kiwi & Yuzu is seeing the positive impact I have on my learners. Their feedback, such as “Thank you, I’m finding my sessions and the apprenticeship very helpful indeed,” makes me proud and reinforces my commitment to their growth and success. Watching them grow, stay motivated, and exceed their goals is incredibly fulfilling. My training approach is positive and focused on creating an engaging, productive environment. I aim to inspire my learners to feel valued and respected, setting clear expectations and empowering them through constructive feedback. My goal is to help them continually improve, develop, and reach their personal goals.

A day in the life for me looks very different each day varies with different training schedules, locations, and learners. Working for Kiwi is that it is profoundly rewarding. The company fosters a culture of recognition and inclusion, making me feel valued both professionally and personally. Being recognized for my achievements boosts my self-confidence and reinforces my belief in my skills. I’m excited to continue learning and growing in my career at Kiwi & Yuzu, contributing to our innovative approach and supporting our learners’ success.

Skills Bootcamps and apprenticeships are essential for preparing employees for the future. They offer flexible, lifelong learning opportunities that address current and future skills needs, benefiting both individuals and employers. Skills Bootcamps provide intensive, short-term training in essential skills, while apprenticeships help fill skills gaps and support employee progression within a business.
