A day in the life for me is always different, but my role focuses on overseeing our educational programmes, from the design stage to delivery. I work closely with my team to ensure everything runs smoothly—whether it’s managing Short Courses, Apprenticeships, or Skills Bootcamps. I’m always looking for ways to innovate and improve what we offer, making sure our learners get the best possible experience.

I joined Kiwi through the Adult Education Budget (AEB) program. I have 23 years of experience in education, mainly working with 16 to 24-year-olds in study programs. Kiwi allowed me to pivot and work with adult learners. I started by managing the AEB and short courses, then took on the delivery of our traineeships before becoming Director of Apprenticeships, which was an exciting new challenge for me.

The best thing about Kiwi is the flexibility and the close-knit team we have here. Everyone is dedicated to what we do, and I enjoy working with such a diverse group of people. It’s a small team, but we’re able to achieve big things together. Plus, it’s a family business, so I always have Kiwi’s best interests at heart, which adds a personal touch to everything I do.

I’m incredibly proud of achieving the best success rates Kiwi has had in the last three years. While the numbers might not seem massive at first glance, they’re above the national average, and it’s a huge improvement from where we started. That’s thanks to the strong team we’ve built. Also, our traineeship program received a great write-up from Ofsted, which is another highlight for me.

I’m excited for the future because there’s so much to look forward to! We’ve got new training programmes on the horizon, which means new opportunities and adventures for both our learners and our team. Seeing the potential in people and how they can use education to better their lives is what drives me. We’re growing, and I’m excited about where that growth will take us.

I believe Skills Bootcamps, Apprenticeships and Short Courses are important for the future because they offer accessible, flexible learning pathways for people at all stages of life. Whether someone is just starting in their career or looking to upskill, these courses give them the tools they need to succeed in a changing job market. They help bridge skill gaps and open up new employment opportunities, which is critical for personal and economic growth.

It’s a tie between Diet Coke and sparkling water.

I love spending time with my family and enjoying life with my three-year-old. They keep me busy and happy!

Honestly, I think “Director of Learning Adventures” might suit me better! It’s all about helping people embark on new journeys through education.
